In 1977 Max Hemelraad got employed by art auctioneer Sotheby’s Amsterdam as an expert for furniture and European ceramics. From 1992 onwards as Director Business Development; in this capacity charged with service to clients, internal and external representation of the company and the development of events such as: receptions, exhibitions, symposia and concerts.
Max Hemelraad is a certificated auctioneer of art and antiques.
After Sotheby’s –from February 2010- independent advisor in Max Hemelraad, Art Concepts and Advice.
1980-1981
Cataloguing and auctioneering the largest private collection of Dutch tiles, The Leerink Collection.

Exhibition “William and Mary, A Crown of a Special Bond”.

Co-ordinator and planner of the auction of the contents of “ Eikenhorst” , the residence of HRH Princess Christina of the Netherlands.
